Tips for the perfect digital newsletter

Tips for the perfect digital newsletter

1. Trigger with the title

The subject line is the most important in your newsletter. Trigger readers with an important news item or list some important keywords. In particular, it is of great importance that the recipient is triggered by this rule to click the letter open.

2. Do not turn around the pot

Newsletters are usually short and powerful. Readers go through the letter because they want to get information quickly at a glance. We read more slowly online and we are impatient. So don't turn around the pot and get straight to the point!

3. Content is king

You can now still have a catchy title, the intention is that the content ultimately meets what the reader expects. So unpack with your knowledge and respond with your content to what your target group wants. Of course, do not give a large piece of content at once. As already mentioned in tip two, newsletters should be short and powerful and it is better to split your information into several parts than everything at once. Also try not to be too commercial, because that often comes across as pushing. Of course, it is the perfect opportunity to inform about your products and services, but do not skip a sales pitch through your (digital) newsletter! And last but not least: encourage your readers to take action! Although you may not be too commercial here, you can still call on readers to take action. Give them an extra boost with a clear call-to-action. For example: "Download our new brochure here!".
